Last year ended on an extraordinary note, with the Art Institute-led Panafrica series of exhibitions filling spaces around the city. Most of those shows continue into the new year, with several more set to open this month. In anticipation of another strong year for visual art in Chicago, we asked galleries and small institutions to share their most-anticipated exhibitions for the new year.
