Shadows in rock formations, horses and riders slotted through thick jungle leaves, barely visible dancers breezing through a grove of trees, leaves tracing the form of a human figure. Mud springs and cave pools converge and crack along diagonal lines dissecting and converging the image into tectonic planes. In the latticed light near a watchful boulder, dancers emerge and recede under a canopy of leaves. Figures are implied, materialized, and spotted bisecting landscapes, cutting through the space, mirroring their surroundings, there, but not there. Visible to some, unnoticed by most. Embedded within the springs and vines, these figures embody their surroundings- rocks, water, leaves, sky. They are very old. They have been there all along. They are the spirits of the mountains.
